Tour Overview

Discover why the Lemosho Route is the most scenic and successful way to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.

The Lemosho Route is widely regarded as the most beautiful and best acclimatization route on Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting from the western side of the mountain, it traverses through pristine rainforest, the dramatic Shira Plateau, and connects with the Machame Route, offering stunning panoramic views and excellent summit success rates.

Lemosho is less crowded than Machame and provides a more gradual ascent with better acclimatization opportunities. The route crosses the Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, Barranco Wall, Karanga Valley, and Barafu Camp before the final summit push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.

This 8-day itinerary gives you extra time to adjust to altitude, making it one of the most successful routes for reaching the summit. The extra day also allows for a more relaxed trek and greater enjoyment of the spectacular scenery.

This package includes airport transfers, two hotel nights in Moshi, all Kilimanjaro National Park fees, professional mountain guides, porters, emergency oxygen, camping equipment, delicious mountain meals, and full support from the experienced KiliLocal Adventures team.
